Information on Moisture Festival Artists Booking Workshops with SANCA

SANCA (School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts) is recognized nationally as a leader in youth circus arts education, safety, and instructor training. Annually, SANCA serves more than 30,000 people with classes and camps, in-school and after-school outreach programs, and public performances.

For Moisture Festival artists who are interested in teaching workshops, teaching private lessons, or connecting with the SANCA community in any way, please send an email with a brief description of your workshop to Rachel Nehmer and Sara Haverkamp at SANCA: racheln@sancaseattle.org and sara@sancaseattle.org. They will review submissions and decide what workshops would be a good fit for their student base and reach out with more questions and information as needed. Keep in mind that not all submissions for workshops will move forward with SANCA.

For workshops at SANCA that they would help market and register through their platform, they will work with artists/instructors to develop pricing, and then typically do a 70/30 (artist/SANCA) split of revenue.

For private lessons, they will charge a space use fee and artists/instructors set their own rates.

For artists who are interested in community engagement with youth groups and/or emerging professionals or other mentorship opportunities, that would be considered volunteer outreach, and there would be no monetary compensation. If this is something Moisture Festival artists are interested in, Rachel and Sara can provide some details and ideas about how best to plug into the youth programming at SANCA!

PLEASE NOTE - If you are setting up workshops directly with SANCA, these are not supported in any way by Moisture Festival staff or volunteers (including transportation). All payments will come directly through SANCA, and questions can be directed to Sara Haverkamp and Rachel Nehmer (emails listed above).
