Aerial Information

Aerial Booking Coordinators:  Dream Frohe and Sadye Osterloh at aerial@moisturefestival.org

Aerial On-Site Technical/Rigging Coordinators:  rigger@moisturefestival.org

Arrival at the venue:

Aerialist call time is two hours before showtime, or by prior arrangement with the rigging team.

After checking in at the venue, please find the on-site Aerial Rigger for the show to get your apparatus secured and your technical needs handled.

Insurance:
In order to perform at the Moisture Festival, aerial acts are required to carry Performers Liability Insurance, under which you are able to secure a rider naming Moisture Festival as an additional insured. Other types of acts may be asked to carry insurance if deemed necessary for safety by the Moisture Festival producers.

Your insurance paperwork, including the rider specifically naming the Moisture Festival, must be sent to Rhonda, Artist Liaison, rhonda@moisturefestival.org. We cannot allow you to perform at the festival without this paperwork.

We strongly recommend that you carry personal medical insurance.  The festival does not provide performers accident, medical, or liability insurance.

Please use the following information for the rider you will be obtaining from your insurance company, listing Moisture Festival as an additional insured for the dates of March 21 through April 14, 2024.

If you are performing at Broadway Performance Hall please list:
Moisture Festival at Broadway Performance Hall
1625 Broadway
Seattle, WA 98122

Many performers have used Specialty Insurance Agency to secure the required rider. This is not an active endorsement of their services, but rather a good place to start in your search for an appropriate agency.

Equipment:
Bring your equipment, along with carabineers, span sets and swivels if needed. Label all equipment and bags with your name. We will provide professionally rigged points to clip into. However, if you need additional span sets to adjust the height of equipment (especially hoops & trapezes), please bring them with you or let the Aerial Coordinator know ASAP that you will require additional span sets from us.

PLEASE NOTE: All aerial acts are required to use a safety mat.

We have the following mats available for your use.

Puzzle mat ( 1/2" thick)

Panel mat (2" thick)

Crash pad (8"thick)

You are also welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.

Hoisting/Pulley Policy:
Aerial performers, who wish to use any hoisting device to lift themselves off the floor and into the air, will carry liability insurance that includes the Moisture Festival as covered by the performer's insurance. The "puller" does not need to have their own aerial insurance. Performers must supply their own "puller".  The Moisture Festival is not able to supply "pullers". The performers and their crew will be the only persons allowed to operate the hoisting mechanisms.  All such lifting devices will be reviewed and approved prior to use upon a MF stage, by MF aerial safety.  No homemade hoisting devices will be allowed.

Schedule:

Please let the Aerial Coordinator know ASAP if it is necessary to schedule you to perform specifically in the first or second half of the show. For example, if you must leave before the end of the show in order to get to another gig, we can schedule you into the first half of the show. However, we can only accommodate cases of necessity due to conflicts or safety rather than preference.
