Comp Tickets

The Festival is pleased to provide every performer with complimentary tickets that can be used by the performer and/or their friends and family to watch a show from a seat in the house.

 

The number of tickets that each performer receives is determined by the number of shows in which they perform. Each performer receives one ticket per show, up to a maximum total of four tickets.

  • If you perform in one show, you may redeem one comp ticket. 

  • If you perform in four shows, you may redeem four comp tickets. 

  • If you perform in nine shows, you may still only redeem a maximum of four comp tickets during the 2024 festival.

Your comp tickets will be redeemable after March 1, or one week after your shows are confirmed by the booking team (if after March 1). There is a limited number of comp tickets available and they are reserved on a first-requested, first-granted basis– so be sure to reserve your tickets well in advance.
 

Please read and follow these instructions carefully, even if you have performed at the festival for many years. Our process for requesting complimentary tickets has been updated! 

 

​HERE’S HOW TO GET YOUR WELL-DESERVED COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS​

Once you are confirmed as a performer and have signed and returned your contract, one or more comp code(s) will be created to use through our online box office, Bold Type Tickets. You can use these codes yourself or share them with your guests to book their own seats.

Very important notes:  Choose your ticket(s) at any of the price levels offered.  Choose the number of tickets you want then “Add” them into your cart and hit “Checkout”. Once you arrive at the screen that says “Your Cart”, you will see Got a Promo Code? underneath the price total. Click that and you can enter your comp code(s) there.

If you get an 'Invalid' message after entering your Comp Code, it is possible that the comp limit for that performance has been reached. Please email comps@moisturefestival.org with the date/time of the show and the number of comps you'd like to reserve, and we will check to see if we are able to accommodate your request.

  • One comp code per complimentary ticket you have earned will be available to you. 

  • The comp code(s) will be YOUR FIRST INITIAL+LAST NAME (please note this is your legal name, not your act name) plus a number, 1-4, corresponding to the number of comps you can redeem (see above). 

    • For example, an artist with the name John Smith, who is performing in 4 shows, would have four comp codes: JSMITH1, JSMITH2, JSMITH3, JSMITH4. 

    • You may distribute these codes as you like.

      • If you have more than two names (total) your code will use the last one.​

      • If your last name is hyphenated, your code will not include the hyphen.

  • You won’t receive an email with the code(s), and don’t have to remember any randomized codes; these will be frontloaded into the system once your performance dates are finalized with the Booking team.

  • You or your guest may use one code per transaction on Bold Type Tickets. 

    • Applying multiple codes to one order is not supported by Bold Type Tickets.

    • Be sure not to send the same code to more than one person. 

      • Example: I, John Smith, am using JSMITH1 & JSMITH2 to see another performance with my friend, and am sending JSMITH3 to Suzy Q and JSMITH4 to my mom.

  • Each code expires after use.

 

Your tickets will be issued in exactly the same way as if you had purchased your tickets, and the same policies apply to cancellations and exchanges (which are allowable up to 72 hours in advance of the ticketed performance).

The on-site box office is not able to arrange comp tickets at the time of show.  The only way to receive your complimentary ticket(s) is through Bold Type Tickets.

Remember that there is a limited number of comps available. If they have already been reserved, or if a show has sold out, you will need to choose a different date in order to redeem your comp code. Get those reservations made early!

To help things run smoothly, please note

  • Saving Seats: Reserving seats is not allowed: ALL seating is general admission so please advise your guests to arrive early in order to have their choice of seats. 

​

  • Standing Room: The last row of seats in this venue butt up against a wall, so there is absolutely no standing room and it is prohibited to stand in the aisles.

​

       A comp ticket does not allow backstage access. Similarly, having backstage access does             not secure a seat in the house.
 

  • Entry: All audience members (complimentary or paid) must have their ticket scanned and enter the theater through the main doors.
